Instead of Katars or "Talons" How about using dual Tomahawk's for the Feral? I know it may feel different, but it still keeps the Brute feel you where going for, and it fits like a glove with any native american inspired class.

The Feral could be the first class which switches freely between melee and ranged without penalty, using his axes much like a throwing axeman or tomahawk at ranged (Paragons have an endless supply of spears, and Rangers of arrows...why not axes?), and when in Melee adapting a more brute hack n' slash style.

Forms could still be applied, only now you would divide them into two catagories. For example, Strong like the Bear could still apply when in Melee mode and while ranged you could use one like Swift like the Eagle, to increase throwing speed. And these could compensate for the lower AL, ala increasing armor in melee stances.

Attacking twice in one move (hitting with both axes counting as a single attack) but with a slower attack speed then that of the Assassin (while dealing more per attack), perhaps the Feral's axes could even be counted seperate (one being in the offhand slot) and deal in the range of 6-14 damage each (or 12-32 one full attack cycle) putting it on par with Rangers while ranged, only with a larger damage range.

This also distances the Feral greatly from the adapted savage Assassin feel I was strongly getting with the Talons.

Anyway, just a suggestion...but I'm really digging the Tomahawk thing with the Feral.

Oh...my...god! That's an insanely great idea!

At first, while I was reading your post, I was thinking "No, no, no. The Feral is all about the claws." But I reflected on it for a while, looked up some images on the tomahawks and did a little research and realized how perfect they were to this class. It will change a lot, like you say, but it's perfect, and gives the concept a more solidified and unique feel.

I'll edit this with some ideas for skills/weapons later Thanks again!
